Your affiliates can refer customers to your site using their referral urls.
When an affiliate signs up, a referral link is automatically generated which includes the referrer ID and the default product ID. When a visitor visits one of these urls, the referrer ID and product ID are recorded in a cookie on their computer. This cookie is set to expire in 90 days. Even if another affiliate refers the same customer to your website within the 90 day period, the first affiliate will still get the commission.
The product which you have set as default on you "Manage Defaults" page will be used in the referral url when they sign up.
If you set up links to your other products, then your affiliates can refer customers to these products by choosing a different link or banner from the "My Links" options when they log in.
We have set up 2 banners and 1 text link as examples. You can delete these and add your own.
If a customer buys, the referrer ID is recorded in a permanent cookie (expires in 99 years).
Therefore the referrer will also be credited again and again if the customer comes back to buy more products - as long as they use the same Customer ID in they used previously in the payment system.
